Helping Teens Turn Big Feelings Into Better Questions

Date Created: 1st Jun 2026 - 0 0

Teenagers do not need adults to dismiss big feelings. They need tools for translating those feelings into questions that can lead somewhere useful. Anger might be asking for fairness. Anxiety might be asking for preparation. Sadness might be asking for connection and care.

Conversation gives young people a place to sort that out. A strong question can lower the temperature and open the door to support: What am I reacting to? What do I need right now? Who can help me think this through without judging me?

When Time 2 Consider creates space for teens to talk, the goal is not performance. The goal is practice. Young people learn to pause, name what is true, and choose the next wise step.
